Proceeds from every ticket go towards science and math education programs for low-income students
Vivek knows the opportunities he had in public school shaped him deeply. So, in order to give back, proceeds from every ticket go towards education for kids from low-income families, primarily for science, technology, engineering, math ("STEM") programs.
To date, with proceeds from tickets sold to this January 2012 San Francisco show and a match from his employer, Vivek donated $1500 to Alliance Academy, a public middle school serving a high needs population in East Oakland, California, towards 6th grade science camp in Marin County.
